Dollar majors have been trading in narrow ranges so far today. USD-JPY eked out a 15-day high of 109.89 during the early Tokyo session, since settling to an oscillation around 109.70. EUR-USD ebbed to a three-day low of 112.86. AUD-USD traded firmer, but has remained shy of yesterday's 10-month peak at 0.7829, which coincided with a 10-month high in iron ore prices (being a boon to Australian's terms of trade ratio). Risk appetite was "on," with Japan's Nikkei 225 closing with a 2.7% gain and Australia's ASE with a 1.1% advance, both making it three consecutive up sessions.
