XE Market Analysis: Asia - Apr 15, 2016

The dollar weaved and bobbed through the N.Y. session on Friday, though aside from USD-JPY, which succumbed to selling pressure, ended the session largely near where it started. U.S. data kicked off with a better Empire State index, though things went downhill from there, as industrial production and Michigan consumer sentiment missed the marks. Softer oil prices weighed on risk taking sentiment, resulting in lower yields and lower Wall Street. EUR-USD bottomed at 1.1273 before rallying back to 1.1317 highs, as USD-JPY topped at 109.04, before making its way to 108.61 lows.
