XE Market Analysis: Asia - Apr 08, 2016

Aside from soft wholesale data, the U.S. calendar was empty on Friday. Wall Street opened sharply higher, though pared its gains through the session, while yields bounced as well, as risk taking conditions improved. Oil prices helped the backdrop, as WTI futures rallied better than 5%. The dollar trade mostly on a weaker footing, with EUR-USD making its way over 1.1415 from lows near 1.1350. USD-JPY held up over 108.50 through the morning session, though stumbled after the London close, drifting back into 108.20 lows.
