XE Market Analysis: Europe - May 10, 2016

The dollar edged out fresh highs versus the yen and euro, and against the Australian and New Zealand dollars, though remained within respective ranges from yesterday in the cases against sterling and the Canadian dollars. The greenback also remained perky against most emerging nation currencies. The main story in Asia was unchanged inflation data out of China, with headline CPI coming in at 2.3% y/y in April, which helped assuage concerns about disinflationary pressures and the general health of the Chinese economy.
