The dollar headed moderately south in morning dealings in N.Y. on Thursday, though for the most part, recovered through the afternoon session. Higher than expected weekly jobless claims took some wind out of the greenback's sails, resulting in EUR-USD rising to 1.1414 highs. The euro reverted back into 1.1372 lows after the London close. USD-JPY fell back into 108.63 as Wall Street fell, though as equities recovered late in the day, the pairing reclaimed the 109 handle.
