It was a mostly risk-off session in N.Y. on Wednesday, as stocks and yields fell, as did oil prices. The dollar was mixed, ultimately posting modest gains against the euro, advancing versus the yen before falling back, and posting gains against the pound and CAD. Hawkish-turning Fedspeak appeared to be behind the dollar's advance. Slightly better new home sales data did little to help overall sentiment. EUR-USD fell to one-week lows of 1.1160, before returning to the 1.1190 region into the close.
