XE Market Analysis: Asia - Mar 17, 2016

The dollar index shed over 1% in N.Y. trade on Thursday, continuing Wednesday's post-FOMC weakness. Incoming U.S. data was generally positive, as in-line claims, and a better Philly Fed Index helped equity market sentiment. Wall Street rallied, with the DJIA turning positive for 2016. Yields backed up some, though didn't help the greenback. EUR-USD touched 1.1279 lows early in the session, later rallying to 1.1337 highs. USD-JPY was volatile into the open, falling from 111.35 to better than one-year lows of 110.67.
