XE Market Analysis: North America - Feb 18, 2016

The dollar has traded mixed amid a risk-on backdrop, rising against the euro, steady versus the yen while losing ground to the Canadian dollar and sterling, the former supported by higher oil prices and the latter by hawkish-leaning remarks from BoE's Cunliffe. EUR-USD logged a two-week low at 1.1092, making this the fourth lower low out of the last five trading days as markets anticipate the possibility of further ECB easing at its early March policy meeting. USD-JPY oscillated in a narrow range around 114.00. USD-CAD edged out a two-week low at 1.3653.
