In 1994, fledgling then-duo Deerhoof — drummer Greg Saunier and guitarist Rob Fisk — formed in the San Francisco Bay Area and went on to do weird, wonderful things. The band, now a quartet, has toured with some of the greats (like Sonic Youth and Radiohead), 2004 release Milk Man was made into a children’s ballet and is no stranger to critical acclaim — even from Pitchfork.
