Aside from cable, which dove after the BoE announcement, the dollar was flat to a bit lower in N.Y. trade. Position paring ahead of Friday's key U.S. jobs report kept the greenback contained, following its new found lease on life in the aftermath of a more hawkish sounding Fed. Incoming U.S. data was mixed, with jobless claims a bit higher, and ECI lower than forecasts, though overall, the numbers had little impact on the USD. EUR-USD opened near 1.0885, and posted a high of 1.0889, and a low of 1.0858 through the session.
