The dollar was mixed in N.Y. trade on Friday, though overall, ranges were narrow ahead of the weekend, and a quite volatile week behind the markets. In-line U.S. industrial production and a better U. of Michigan sentiment outcome had little impact on the dollar, while yields remained range bound, and Wall Street meandered on either side of flat. EUR-USD opened near 1.1350, and peaked at 1.1391, as USD-JPY rallied out of the 119.00 region to a high of 119.66. USD-CAD recovered from just under 1.2900, managing a high of 1.2939, as cable traversed a 1.5450 fulcrum.
