LONDON — The tragic events of 9/11 will be revisited in a new opera opening this month in London.
Between Worlds by English composer Tansy Davies tells the story of six people trapped high up in the World Trade Center.
The opera, which is produced by English National Opera at the Barbican, focuses on the relationships and emotions of six people as they face the possibility that they might never see their loved ones again. Nearly 3,000 people were killed in the coordinated terrorist attacks in New York and Washington
The six unnamed people featured in the opera are a Shaman, Mother, Younger Woman, Realtor, Janitor, and Older Man, who are played by a mostly British cast. Read more...
