The dollar was mostly lower in N.Y. trade on Tuesday, taking the USD index briefly under the 94.00 mark, and within striking distance of the 93.63 eight-month lows seen on April 12. EUR-USD printed one-week highs of 1.1384, as USD-JPY attempted to rally early, touching 109.45 before slipping to 109.05 as Wall Street gave back gains. USD-CAD fell to nine-month lows 0f 1.2632, as oil prices continued to climb, while cable managed nearly one-month highs of 1.4419 on the dollar's generally softer tone.
