The Bachelor winners Chris Soules and Whitney Bischoff continue to be the subject of one rumor after another suggesting they're involved in a "showmance."
As in, a romance just for show. Which began on a quote-unquote reality TV show, but is not long for this (real) world. But does this really apply to them?
The latest speculation began swirling after a comment Whitney made ... about how she's excited for a low-key wedding to Chris on his farm. Seriously.
That's right. Gossip over whether couples are the real deal or not is obligatory once The Bachelor gives way to the real world, but this is kind of ridiculous.
One day, Chris is using Whitney to land a farm-based reality show (at least that one was creative on the part of the tabloids), and the next day, this:
According to Life & Style, Whit has been "gushing to friends" about tying the knot in a down-home "farm wedding" ceremony in Chris' native Iowa.
Sounds nice, right? Well, the obvious celebrity gossip spin is that she's just trying to convince us she actually wants to marry the dude she's engaged to.
Her being sincere in that sentiment just isn't as interesting, we suppose. Ditto the idea of going back to Arlington, Iowa, instead of ditching it for L.A.
Chris, of course, is still competing on Dancing With the Stars , so the couple has indeed "gone Hollywood" for the time being. But once he gets booted?
We don't expect these two to be in the spotlight that long. Or to part ways, to be totally honest. Of course, it's possible and we've been wrong before.
No one knows what the future holds, for these two or any other couple, but if there were ever a Bachelor duo worth betting on, Chitney would be it.
Terrible nickname we made up notwithstanding.
